To me, Hype and Still Here and Pop Style sound like they could have been on IYRTITL, Redemption and Faithful are reminiscent of Take Care, and Feel No Ways sort of feels like a sequel to Hold On We're Going Home from Nothing Was The Same. The impression I get is that Drake was aiming to please his fans by having songs that sounded like each of his previous albums. They feel like they could be on separate albums. Think about how different Grammys is from Keep The Family Close, or Hype from With You. It felt like a compilation of singles, and although I really like all the songs, they don't feel like a cohesive album. With Views, the same consistency wasn't really there in my opinion. Each song felt like it fit perfectly between the song before it and the song after it. Think about IYRTITL - it was executive produced by Boi1da and all the songs had those gritty/dark synths, moody pads, and punching kicks. I think what set Views apart from the other albums is that the beats seemed like they came from all over the place. All of Drake's albums are characterized by very progressive beats (thanks to 40, Boi1da, etc.) and new & interesting rhyme schemes and vocal performances. I partially agree with that, but I also think that people expect Drake's albums to have a uniform aesthetic to them.
